The Russian President's Special Envoy to the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, expressed Russia's praise for the Arab countries' 'balanced' position, towards the Ukrainian crisis.
"Russia appreciates the common and balanced Arab position towards Ukraine, in addition to the balanced statements and steps taken by the Arab Contact Group on the Ukrainian crisis," Bogdanov said in press statements.
Moreover, the Russian envoy pointed out that the leaders of the Arab world affirmed, in the closing statement of the Arab summit in Algeria, their adherence to the principle of neutrality regarding the crisis in Ukraine.
