Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, announced plans to inaugurate a branch of the Russian National Research Nuclear University MEPhI in Egypt.

The institute aims to train personnel for the first nuclear power plant in El Dabaa, which is being built with Russia's participation.

"Now there is a dialogue, a fundamental decision has been made to open a MEPhI branch in Egypt. This is connected with the construction of a nuclear power plant," Mogilevsky said on Monday.

In the same vein, Egypt’s Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek El Molla revealed that the Arab Republic will announce three tenders this year for oil and gas exploration and production projects.

"Egypt plans to hold three international tenders in 2023 for oil and gas exploration and production," El Molla noted.

The event is set to last through February 15 and bring together more than 30,000 oil and gas industry representatives from at least 60 countries.
