Russia has launched a criminal investigation against former UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace over remarks supporting the supply of long-range weapons to Ukraine for strikes on the Crimean Bridge.
Russia’s Investigative Committee announced that Wallace has been added to an international wanted list on charges linked to alleged public incitement to terrorism.
The committee also stated that a separate criminal case against former Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych is nearing completion after he was charged in absentia.
Russian authorities accused Arestovych of encouraging attacks on Russian railway infrastructure and spreading what Moscow described as false information about Russian military operations.
Arestovych, who resigned from his advisory role in January 2023, was previously added to Russia’s list of extremists and terrorists.
