Early Saturday, the Russian authorities issued an arrest warrant against Wagner group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin.
The Russian authorities accused Prigozhin of "incitement to armed rebellion" after he called Russians to join his Wagner fighters against Russian army's top commanders.
Prigozhin also claimed that his forces shot down a Russian military aircraft.
The Kremlin responded to the statements of Prigozhin, saying that all "necessary measures" were taken.
Moreover, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that President Vladimir Putin was informed about the latest developments, and he will address the nation in moments.
