The Russian troops delivered a strike with lethal weapons to destroy a large depot with Javelin and NLAW anti-tank missile systems in Ukraine's Zhitomir.

Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said: "In the past 24 hours, a strike was delivered with long-range precision weapons to destroy the ammo depot on the territory of a military unit in Zhitomir where Javelin and NLAW anti-tank missile systems were kept."

The defense ministry announced that the armed forces disabled over 2,000 military targets of Ukraine since the start of the special operation.

“The Russian armed forces continue to strike at the military infrastructure of Ukraine. In total, 1,812 targets were hit during the operation, including 65 command posts and communication centers of the Ukrainian military, 56 S-300, Buk M-1 and Osa air defense missile systems, 59 radar stations,” Konashenkov told reporters.

On February 24, President Vladimir Putin announced that he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine in order to protect people "who have been suffering from abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years."
