Russia Bans Access to News.Google Service

On Wednesday, the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media said that it had banned access to the News.Google Internet service, due to provided access to materials containing unreliable information about the course of the special military operation in Ukraine.

"On the basis of the requirement of the Russian Office of General Prosecutor, Roskomnadzor restricted access to the News.Google web service on the territory of the country.

The mentioned US news web resource provided access to numerous publications and materials containing unreliable publicly significant information about the course of the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine," the regulator said.
