On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said about 18,000 people were evacuated from dangerous regions in Ukraine, and from the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics to Russia during the day.
"Despite the difficulties created by Kyiv, during the day, about 17,733 people, including 1,797 children, were evacuated from dangerous regions in Ukraine, and from the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics to Russia,” Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center said.
He added that since the beginning of the special military operation, more than 1,325,000 people, including nearly 226,000 children, have been evacuated.
