The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has reached a final agreement with Portuguese Rui Vitória to lead the Pharaohs for the next 4 years.
On the other hand, the EFA notified Carlos Queiroz, the former coach of the national team, of his nomination by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), for the award for the best technical manager in Africa.
The association also notified Queiroz of the date of the ceremony, which will be held in Morocco on July 21st.
Meanwhile, the EFA sent an official letter to its African counterpart CAF to inquire about the fate of the two rounds of September, in the qualifiers for the 2023 African Nations Cup.
Vitória will receive $180,000 a month, in addition to the presence of 4 assistants on the technical staff, including a performance analyst, a Coachload, an assistant coach, and a goalkeeper coach.
Hazem Emam, a member of the Board of Directors of the EFA, agreed with Vitória, that an Egyptian coach will be on the technical staff during the coming period, and the closest is Mohamed Shawky, the former coach in Carlos Queiroz, then Ehab Galal.
The fate of goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary to be the goalkeeper coach of the national team will be decided upon the coach's arrival in Egypt, especially since the Portuguese coach has a goalkeeper coach.
Vitória was born on April 16, 1970. His career as a player was with little-known Portuguese clubs.
He started his coaching career with U.D. Vilafranquense in 2004. The most important shift in his coaching career, was when he took over the youth team in Benfica.
