Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in Egypt has not emerged, and the detected cases of the virus recovered fast, VACSERA was cited by media agencies on Tuesday.
Dr. Mostafa Mohamadi, the head of the national vaccination centre at VACSERA, told local media agencies, that the RSV emerged fast, especially among children.
However, it won't turn into a pandemic and it existed for long years.
The official added that the flu vaccine and COVID-19 vaccine don't prevent the infection of RSV.
He added that there are more than 27 stations for observing the mutations of respiratory viruses nationwide, in addition, there are several testing devices to differentiate between flu, RSV, and Coronavirus.
Finally, the official reflected that there are several procedures to prevent that infection such as washing hands, wearing masks, and avoiding crowded places.
