On Friday, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, said that there is an emergence of different forms of Respiratory syncytial viruses around the world amid winter.

Abdel Ghaffar explained in his phone interview with TV host Ahmed Fayek that the current respiratory infections are the same as last year's flu and cold cases, especially among children.

The official highlighted that the situation is normal due to the nature of winter when those kinds of viruses become more active.

Regarding the adenovirus, Abdel Ghaffar asserted that the means of prevention from this virus are the same as the flu such as washing hands, and reducing physical connections such as kissing, especially for children.

In addition, people can enhance their immune systems by having a healthy diet with healthy drinks and fruits, especially which contain vitamin C.

He added that patients with this virus suffer from mild and moderate symptoms.

Previously, the Ministry of Health urged citizens to receive the Coronavirus vaccine, and the booster to help in restricting the virus in the community, especially before the winter.

The ministry added that citizens should receive the flu vaccines in Fall as they help in protecting the Respiratory system.
