Mcilwham, 45, is the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new private secretary, according to the Mail on Sunday .

Ms Mcilwham, who refers herself as a 'wannabe supermum' on Twitter , will replace the Queen's former aide Samantha Cohen who is leaving the position later this year.

The position includes coordinating their official program, managing correspondence as well as supervising other staff members. Ms Mcilwham will be joining the existing team at Buckingham Palace who are working for the royal couple.

British ‘Mirror’ quoted a royal insider that Meghan and Harry were originally looking for a new joint private secretary who had experience working for the royals.

The Duke and Duchess are reportedly claimed to be 'difficult' to work for following a number of key staff members quitting in recent months.

Heather Wong, who served as assistant private secretary to Prince Harry, was the latest to go.

In March, it was reported that Amy Pickerill, Meghan's 'right-hand woman', had quit.

The 45-year-old has had an impressive career so far and was one of the youngest British ambassadors when she was posted to Albania in 2009.

According to Daily Mail, her interest in women’s rights will no doubt have scored points with Meghan.

The news came as reports on another lavish spending involved Meghan Markle were circulated.

Mirror reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stayed in a luxury resort dubbed the 'billionaire's playground' during their trip to Ibiza with son Archie. The stunning complex - which boasts sea views and complete privacy - offers high-end villas costing up to £120,000 a week.
