Media reported that a British Royal fleet began recovering the US-made "F-35" fighter, which crashed in the waters of the Mediterranean on Wednesday.

The British Navy is seeking to prevent the modern technologies used in these fifth-generation aircraft from falling into the hands of foreign countries, especially Russia, according to a report by the "Daily Mirror".

The location of the crash was determined in international waters in the Mediterranean, and its wreckage was located at a depth of about 1.6 km.

Special relief ships and submarines are participating in the operation, and the US military is assisting their British partners in the operation.

The plane, worth $162 million, crashed off the Egyptian coast on Wednesday, shortly after taking off from the British aircraft carrier "Queen Elizabeth" on Wednesday, 17 November.

The pilot was able to jump with a parachute and survived the accident.
