Italy's Juventus announced on Saturday that footballer star Cristiano Ronaldo recovered from coronavirus.

The Portuguese legend  first tested positive for Covid-19 on October 13 while playing with Portugal. He had been in self-isolation since returning to Italy.

"Ronaldo carried out a check with a diagnostic test (swab) for Covid-19. The exam provided a negative result," the Italian club said in a statement.

Juventus were without the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for their previous four matches, including Wednesday's Champions League Group G defeat to Barcelona, winning just once in that time.

Now, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward is available once again as Juventus gear up to resume their Serie A campaign at Spezia on Sunday.
