French Ambassador to Egypt Stephane Romatet announced Sunday that his country will cooperate with the Egyptian Education Ministry to teach the French language at schools.
"Rich discussion with the Minister of Education (Tarek Shawki) on teaching the French language at Egyptian schools," Romatet tweeted on Sunday.
The ambassador added that two projects are under preparation in this regard.
Earlier, Romatet, Ambassador of Germany, Cyrill Nunn, and Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt, Christian Berger inaugurated an Old Mahalla Water Treatment Plant, near Tanta city.
The project includes upgrading and increasing the capacity of the existing water treatment plant in Mahalla by 40,000 m³/daily. The Mahalla’s project, which is implemented in the framework of the Improved Water and Sanitation Program (IWSP1), enables the residents of this area, 345,600 people, to have access to high-quality clean water.
