The research project, which was presented by Dr. Yasmine Abdel Aziz, a lecturer at the Textile Department of the Faculty of Applied Arts at Beni Suef University has won, within the "Apply your idea" program, which was launched by the Academy of Scientific Research to employ scientific research and scientific capabilities to confront the emerging coronavirus.
The project aims to manufacture medical clothes from reusable fabrics in combination with silver-inlaid tissues and "Tita-oxide" particles to protect against the emerging coronavirus. Dr. Ayman Hassan, assistant professor at the College of Graduate Studies took part in the project.
Yasmine Abdel Aziz (born in 1987) is the youngest member of the teaching staff of her university, where she obtained a doctorate in bulletproof fabrics when she was 28 years old.
She is a university professor in textile engineering and an internationally accredited professional human resources development coach.
After graduating from the College of Applied Arts, she obtained a master's degree in the field of heat-protecting fabrics and firefighter's clothes. In 2015, she obtained a Ph.D. in the field of bullet-proof and missile-proof fabrics, in cooperation with the Armed Forces and the Arab Industrialization Organization.
