On Tuesday, a huge explosion was heard in Saudi Arabia capital Riyadh, Sputnik news agency reported, according to a number of eyewitnesses and social media activists.
The cause of the blast is not immediately known.
Social media users circulated video clips of a missile being intercepted and destroyed over Riyadh. They blamed Houthi militia for the attack, appreciating air defence forces' role in confronting any aggression.
