An official of the General Administration of the Jordanian Armed Forces announced that there are some clashes between units of the Jordanian army and armed groups of outlaws near the northern borders of the kingdom.
Jordan News Agency (Petra) said that the clashes caused some seizing huge quantities of drugs, and weapons, adding that one officer was injured during the clashes.
The source added that those outlaw groups are being targeted to be pushed away from the Jordanian borders in the direction of Syria, highlighting that the illegal operations of smuggling drugs and arms turned to armed clashes to cross the borders illegally and target the border guards.
Moreover, the clashes are still in progress, and the leadership is monitoring the situation and the attempts of these outlaws to disturb the security of the kingdom, according to the source.
