David Barnea, head of the Mossad foreign intelligence service, presented proposals to go to Qatar to discuss completing a new prisoner and hostage exchange deal with Hamas, but the “war cabinet” refused, Israeli Channel 13 reported.

The Israeli channel explained that Benny Gantz, a member of the Israeli War Council, believes that Tel Aviv must find an opportunity to move the negotiation process with Hamas forward again.

Yesterday, Wednesday, Israeli media reported that the German intelligence service was participating in negotiations regarding a new hostage recovery deal between Israel and Hamas.

The Israeli website "i24NEWS" reported from Palestinian sources that the "BND" or German intelligence service is conducting negotiations regarding a new hostage exchange deal between "Hamas" and Israel.

It is noteworthy that Germany had previously participated in the deal to release the captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.
