Four people, including the head of civil defense in the town of Alma al-Shaab in southern Lebanon, were injured as a result of an Israeli phosphorus bombing.

The Lebanese News Agency reported that “ambulances belonging to the Lebanese Civil Defense, Al-Resala Society for Health Ambulance, and the Health Authority have transferred the four injured people to the Lebanese-Italian Hospital in Tyre, in the south of the country, after they were exposed to the phosphorous gases.”

The injured people suffer from suffocation as they inhale the gases.

On the other hand, Hezbollah said in a statement, “The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance targeted five Israeli sites with direct weapons, and they achieved confirmed hits.”

For its part, the Israeli army said that "its forces on the Lebanese border were exposed to fire from Lebanon, and artillery shelled the source of the fire."
