TV presenter, Reham Saeed resumed Monday her “Sabaya Al-Khair” program broadcast on the “Al-Nahar” channel.

Saeed started the episode by addressing the controversial "Fox Hunting" episode, which caused widespread controversy and led to the suspension of the program.

"I did not return to the screen, after a year to cause problems. It was not my intention at all," she said.

Saeed apologized to the audience, and all animal welfare organizations, adding: "I ask everyone to accept my apology. I thank the Supreme Media Council because I have benefited a lot from the investigation that was conducted with me because of the 'fox hunting' episode."

The TV presenter noted that they did not torture the fox, nor did they think about torturing it, noting that they fed it, gave it water, and freed it.

On December 7, Egypt’s Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) conducted an investigation with Saeed at its headquarters.

The syndicate warned the “Sabaya Al-Khair” presenter from repeating such violations, otherwise, she will not be allowed to come on air.

The controversial episode aired early December and featured a chase of a small fox in what looked like a desert area in Egypt. It also showed the small fox pinned down and tied from its legs and mouth, looking helpless and in pain at the hunters.

Animal rights supporters stirred uproar on social media, following the broadcast of the episode.

Users of social media were appalled by footage shared from the episode showing a group of hunters, alongside her, catching a small fox in a way they described as “merciless.”

They also launched hashtags against her, calling for the TV network to stop airing her show once again.

The channel removed the episode and issued an apology, saying it was aiming to shed light on animal hunting activity in Egypt to help export them.
