The situation between Egyptian actress Rehab El Gamal and actor Bassem Samra have escalated.
Last Friday, El Gamal accused Samra of insulting her and their co-stars in film “Deek el Ayat”.
They exchanged accusations through social media and on talk shows, which prompted, Head of the Actors’ Syndicate, actor Ashraf Zaki, to intervene.
On Saturday, Zaki stated, during a phone-in with TV presenter Amr Adib on “Al-Hekaya” program broadcast on MBC Masr that he had suspended the duo from acting.
He revealed that they are prohibited from practicing the profession in Egypt and abroad until the Syndicate examines all the surveillance cameras and investigate the matter.
