Head of the Actors’ Syndicate, actor Ashraf Zaki, announced Sunday that Egyptian actress Rehab El Gamal and actor Bassem Samra reconciled.

In a phone-in with TV presenter Lamis Elhadidy, Zaki stated that the Syndicate had officially banned its members from posting their differences on social media platforms.

He added that he did not try to intervene between El Gamal and Samra, and was surprised when they came to his home and apologized to him.

In a statement to masrawy, Zaki stated that he will address the reconciliation with the Syndicate Board of Directors in the hope of preserving the investigation.

Last Friday, El Gamal accused Samra of insulting her and their co-stars in film “Deek el Ayat”. They exchanged accusations through social media and on talk shows, which prompted, Zaki, to intervene.

Head of the Actors’ Syndicate announced Saturday that he had suspended the duo from acting and prohibited them from practicing the profession in Egypt and abroad until the Syndicate examines all the surveillance cameras and investigate the matter.
