Egyptian actress, Reem Moustafa shared Wednesday on Social media the poster for her character in TV series “El Malek” (the king), during which she plays the queen of the Hyksos.
Mostafa trended on the top-trending searches on Google, in Egypt, after sharing the poster, which featured the actress wearing a golden crown and black dress.

Moustafa also made headlines recently after the teaser for the upcoming series was released due to her appearance in a black garment.
The look sparked controversy over how it did not match the prevailing fashion at that period, some even likened it to Saidi clothing.

The series also stars Amr Youssef, Maged El Masry, Saba Mubarak, Mohamed Farag, Mohamed Lotfy, Mohamed Alaa, Yassin El Sakka, and others.
“The king” is adapted from “Thebes at War“, an early novel by international writer Naguib Mahfouz and features Youssef as king Ahmose I, who chased and removed the Hyksos from the Nile Delta.
The series is directed by Hussein Al-Manbawi and penned by Mohamed, Khaled, and Sherine Diab.
It is produced by leading production companies Synergy and Aroma, under the auspices of the United Media Services.
The production is one of the largest and most important productions of Ramadan 2021, as it features wars, horses, costumes, and decorations.
“The king” is also the first true pharaonic work of the modern generation that details the real life of the pharaohs.
