The Governor of the Red Sea Amr Hanafy expressed his pleasure after the selection of Hurghada as the second-best tourist destination in the Middle East, after Dubai, in 2023.
The selection of Hurghada came from travelers and tourists at Tripadvisor.
Hanafy described in his statement, on Friday, that this selection is an international recognition of tourism in Egypt's success. He added that the city was selected twice by the same platform twice last year.
The governor explained that the latest support and development efforts for the city by the leadership are the major reason for the international recognition of Hurghada.
He added that Hurghada saw continued and successive visits by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and his directive orders for solving any issues for the city's development.
The official also highlighted that the infrastructure of the city has been upgraded, especially in all tourist and hotel institutions.
One of the reasons for the city's international fame is its breathtaking landscape, coral reefs, clear water, and the ability to conduct all kinds of watersports, Hanafy revealed.
He concluded that Hurghada is the perfect destination for European tourists as they can enjoy diving, snorkeling, and watching dolphins, alongside beaches, and museums.
