Red Cross: 8,000 Missing Since Sudan War Began

The International Committee of the Red Cross has confirmed that around 8,000 people have been reported missing since the war in Sudan erupted in April 2023.

ICRC spokesperson Adnan Azzam stated that the organization has documented nearly 11,000 missing persons linked to conflicts across Sudan overall, including 8,000 cases recorded since the current war began on April 15, 2023.

The humanitarian organization also stressed that it continues to engage with all parties involved in the conflict to secure safe and unhindered access for delivering aid and protection to affected communities.
