The blessed month of Ramadan will begin in Egypt on Thursday, March 23, according to the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG).
In the same context, the Eid Al Fitr will begin on April 21.
According to astronomical studies, the rise of the Ramadan Crescent moon will be at 7: 24 pm on the Day of Observation (Yawm Al Roayah) in Cairo time.
This means that the new crescent won't exist by sunset in Cairo and the majority of the Muslim countries.
So, Wednesday is expected to be the final day of Shaaban, and the beginning of Ramadan would be on Thursday.
The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa will observe the crescent moon of Ramadan, next Tuesday, to mark the beginning of the blessed month.
The event of observation will take place after the Prayer of Al-Maghrib (the sunset) for 30 minutes, and the result of the observation will be announced immediately.
