Al-Ahly announced, on Wednesday, that the international winger, Ramadan Sobhi, who ended his loan period with Huddersfield, had informed him of his desire to join Pyramids club and not to complete the journey with the league titleholder.

In a statement, the Cairo club quoted Director of Contracting, Amir Tawfiq, that he had started negotiations with Huddersfield to buy Sobhi's contract, whose loan expired on June 30, "after his approval and expressing his desire to continue ... unless the player receives a European offer that fulfills his ambitions."

France-Presse quoted Al-Ahly saying that "he submitted a gradual financial offer that reached 2.5 million pounds sterling, but the English club requested that the amount be raised to 3.25 million pounds sterling.

Given that Al-Ahly is interested in having the player within its gates, he agreed to the amount and sent a written approval to Huddersfield." Al-Ahly received approval from the English club to sell Ramadan Subhi for the aforementioned amount.

However, after Al-Ahly informed Sobhi of the written approval, “the player requested, in coordination with his agent Nader Shawky, to postpone the completion of his transfer to Al-Ahly for two days, because he had received offers from other clubs and needed time to think,” and then another grace period until next Saturday.
