Rainfall, Unstable Weather to Hit Egypt Tuesday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) revealed Sunday that a wave of unstable weather will hit the country for three days, starting Tuesday.

The meteorologists stated that the unstable weather will be accompanied by a decline in temperatures, winds in most parts of the country, and rainfall from the North of the country to North Upper Egypt.

They also shared a detailed forecast for the weather phenomena that are predicted to hit Egypt.

The bad weather spell is predicted to hit the following areas:

Tuesday:

There is a 60% chance of moderate rain to prevail in Cairo and Canal Cities, at intermittent periods.

Moderate to heavy rains, sometimes thunderstorms accompanied by cold air, are expected to prevail in Lower Egypt, at intermittent periods.

Heavy rain, sometimes thunderstorms accompanied by cold air, are predicted to prevail intermittently in Northwestern Coasts.

Moderate rainfall, sometimes thunderstorms accompanied by cold air, will hit the Northeastern and Central Sinai coasts, at intermittent periods.

Light rain will hit intermittently in North Upper Egypt.

There will also be a disruption of maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea with waves will range between 3.5 to 5.5 meters.

Wednesday:

There is a 60% chance of moderate to light rain to prevail in Cairo and Canal Cities, at intermittent periods.

Moderate to heavy rains, sometimes thunderstorms accompanied by cold air, are expected to prevail in Lower Egypt, at intermittent periods.

There is a 70% chance of moderate rains to hit intermittently in the South of Lower Egypt.

Moderate to heavy rains, sometimes thunderstorms accompanied by cold air, are predicted to prevail in Northwestern Coasts, at intermittent periods.

Moderate rains to heavy rains, sometimes thunderstorms accompanied by cold air, to hit intermittently in Northern Coasts.

Light rain will hit intermittently in North Upper Egypt.

It is also predicted that there will be a severe disruption of maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea with waves will range between 4.5 to 6 meters.

Light to moderate rain will hit Lower Egypt, at intermittent periods, while moderate rains are predicted to prevail intermittently in Northern Coasts.
