A wave of unstable weather accompanied by heavy rainfall is currently prevailing across Egypt on Thursday.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has previously warned that Egypt will be facing a very cold wave on Thursday.
Low and medium clouds will appear accompanied by heavy rainfall on the northwestern coasts, according to the EMA report.
Northeasterly winds blow up through the northern districts but they become fresher over the Gulf of Suez where they disturb navigation there.
Navigation in the Mediterranean might see unrest; fishing boats will remain alarmed as rains may also be heavy and thunderous there.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will be very rough and range between 2 to 3 meters in height.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 18C in Alexandria، 20C Cairo، 21C in Qena and Luxor، and 25C in Aswan.
It is noteworthy that Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development kicked off on Wednesday in the upper Egyptian city of Aswan under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The two-day event focuses on post-conflict reconstruction, education, climate change and sustainable development in Africa.
“The forum is a regional and continental platform for discussion, dialogue and exchange of experiences,” said Sisi in his opening speech.
“Aswan forum represents a good opportunity to discuss the challenges facing Africa, topped by the stability of peace and security situation and achieving aspired sustainable development as well as protecting our African countries and societies from the spread of terrorism and its related phenomenon especially weapons smuggling, human trafficking, and illegal migration,” he added.
