Ragheb Alama's "Taalely" to Be Released Soon

Superstar, Ragheb Alama is collaborating with the poet Mohamed Atef, in a new song entitled "Taalely".

"Taalely" is composed by Ahmed Zaim, and distributed by Jean-Marie. It is scheduled to be released on YouTube in the coming days.

Alama's latest artistic work is the music video “Entou Amalna” (You are our hope), which he used to express his gratitude and to thank the frontline defenders for their courage, selflessness, and relentless efforts in their battle against coronavirus (COVID-19).

“THANK YOU !!! To all doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and the whole medical sector. To the Red Cross and Civil Defense,” he wrote on YouTube.

“To every soldier and officer in the Lebanese Army, the Internal Security Forces and General Security. To the whole media sector, to all reporters and media correspondents. To all municipalities.” he concluded.

'Entou Amalna' is by the lyrics of poet Nizar Francis and composed by Jean-Marie Riachi.

It is worth mentioning that Alama is a Lebanese singer, dancer, composer, television personality, and philanthropist.

He began his career in the 1980s as a contestant on the talent show “Studio El Fan”, during which he received the Platinum Award.

Alama’s fame came after his participation at Studio El Fan following the release of his debut single “Hathak al abed hanaka”, which was proceeded by yearly albums and number-one hit singles such as “Chib hanaka”, “‘Aan Jad” and “Alby Asheq’ha” which was the first song to be made into a music video the in Arab history.

He continued his success into the 2000s with the release of his chart-topping albums “Saharony El Leil” in 2001, “Tab Leh” in 2002, “El Hob El Kebeer” in 2004, and “Baa’sha’ak” in 2008″— the latter had earned him the Platinum certification from Virgin Megastores for its record sales.

Meanwhile, his 2010 album “Seneen Rayha” saw him collaborate with Starbucks for its release and sale, making him the first Arab artist to have his album sold at Starbucks, which was titled “The Starbucks album Starz Vol. 1”.

He has won two Murex d’Or Awards and several other awards during his career. His albums have made him one of the most commercially successful singers in the Arab world.

Alama had headed in mid-2011 the judging panel for the pan-Arab version of the American Idol series.

In 2011-2013, he was a jury of Arab Idol S1 and S2 beside Ahlam and Nancy Ajram and Hassan elshafei and in 2015 he was a jury of The X Factor besides Elissa and Donia Samir Ghanem.

Moreover, Alama was also a jury member of The Voice Ahla Sawt (season 5), which premiered on September 21, 2019, on MBC1 and MBC Masr.
