Lebanese superstar, Ragheb Alama wished on Thursday that a president like Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi would assume leadership in Lebanon and save the country from its current situation, like what happened with Egypt.
Alama stated, during a phone-in with TV anchor Wael El-Ebrashy, on the “Ninth” program broadcast on Egyptian state-owned channel one, that he is against the sectarian system because it leads to corruption, adding that his loyalty was to the army only.
He expressed his hopes that Lebanon will have a President like El Sisi, who saved Egypt from terrorism and disintegration.
Alama added that the political class that governs Lebanon and destroyed everything, is not a political class, but rather a "caste of kings".
He affirmed that the bombing of the Beirut port, which destroyed half of the Lebanese capital, is a "conspiracy."
Alama stressed that he is saddened and angry at what Lebanon has now become due to political leaders mired in corruption, adding: "I am speaking in terms of patriotism, not politics,".
