Egyptian composer Rageh Dauod will perform a concert at Bibliotheca Alexandrina tonight. He will perform alongside an orchestra conducted by Maestro Nayer Nagui.
Born in 1954 in Cairo, he received his BA in musical composition from the Cairo Conservatoire in 1977, and his PhD from the Vienna Music Academy.

Daoud worked as a professor in the Department of Composition and Conducting, at the Cairo Conservatoire. He composed the soundtracks for several award-winning films and collaborated with the most prominent Egyptian filmmakers.
Moreover, he composed the Mauritanian national anthem and was honored both regionally and internationally. His most celebrated works include "Sareq Al Farah" (The Joy Stealer), "Al Sarkha" (The Scream), and "Al Kit-Kat."
