The Egyptian side of the Rafah Border Crossing received a new group of Palestinian patients returning to the Gaza Strip after completing medical treatment in Egyptian hospitals, as part of the agreed humanitarian mechanism regulating cross-border movement.
Authorities supervised the transfer process to ensure the safe and orderly return of the patients. Medical and security teams were deployed across the crossing to facilitate procedures and provide necessary support.
The Egyptian side of the crossing has remained on high alert, with ambulances stationed on site, mobile clinics operating around the clock, and a fully equipped quarantine point conducting medical examinations and initial diagnoses. Patients requiring further care are transported directly to designated hospitals.
In addition to medical services, humanitarian assistance continues to be provided through an on-site relief kitchen offering food support to travelers.
Earlier in the day, another group of Palestinians departed for Gaza after completing travel procedures, underscoring Egypt’s ongoing humanitarian efforts since the outbreak of the war and throughout the current phase of the ceasefire arrangements.
