President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson who expressed his keenness to inform the President of the latest developments in the ongoing negotiations within the framework of the United Nations Climate Change Conference currently being held in Glasgow.

Johnson discussed with Sisi on Friday over phone the British vision of how the COP-26 will come out with successful results, within the framework of coordination between Egypt and Britain on climate issues, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Sisi arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport in the French capital, Paris, on Thursday to take part in the International Conference on Libya.

“The President’s participation in this important conference comes in response to the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, and in light of the close relations between Egypt and France, as well as Egypt’s pivotal role in supporting the political track in Libya at the bilateral, regional and international levels,” noted Rady.
