Rady: President El-Sisi meets Leaders of the Armed Forces Today

Bassam Rady, spokesman for the presidency said that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces & Minister of Defense and Military Production, and General Mohamed Farid, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and the leaders of the main branches of the Armed Forces.

Director of the Military Intelligence and Reconnaissance Department attended the meeting that held on Tuesday.

The Spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the meeting dealt with the efforts exerted by the Armed Forces to assist all state agencies to carry out the needed measures to confront the spread of the novel Coronavirus ( COVID-19).

The meeting also discussed a number of files related to the activities and tasks of the Armed Forces in all directions and strategic axes to protect the pillars of the national security and safeguard capabilities and gains of the Egyptian state.

El-Sisi held other meeting days ago and pointed out the reason for delaying the move to the New Administrative Capital and a number of major national projects. He unveiled that the postponement due to the work of foreign companies and the decline in the provision of supplies linked to the pandemic that the world is exposed to.

The national companies are still working while preserving the precautionary measures with the cooperation of the health authorities, the army and the police.

The president stressed that he doesn't support the disruption of the work of Egyptian life and the suspension of work altogether. He assured that this trend is dangerous, as there are millions of citizens working.

The president stated that the state is keen to suspend the educational institutions to protect sons of the Egyptian families. He urged people not worry as the state was prepared to implement any measures to save Egyptian children.

The head of the state requested concerned officials to reduce the number of citizens in the workplace, especially the elderly and women. He urged companies of the private sector not to slash salaries of workers.
