Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady revealed that the mediation efforts made by Kuwait to resolve the Arab crisis, haven't resulted in final or successful outcomes.

“Kuwait brokered and exerted some efforts to resolve the rift with Qatar,” Rady told Sada El Balad TV’s anchor Ahmed Moussa.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, tackled Wednesday the file of reconciliation with Qatar

Rady stressed that relations among countries are based on respect and non-interference in domestic affairs.

“Egypt's policy is based on mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs, and the four Arab countries have many demands that have been already announced,” the spokesman added.

He noted that Qatar has not responded to the demands set by Egypt, Saudi, the UAE and Bahrain yet, pointing out that there has been coordination between the UAE and Egypt for years to reject external interventions.

“When Qatar respond to these demands with a sincere desire and strong political will, things will change,” Rady manifested.

The Arab Quartet is accusing Qatar of supporting terrorism, while Doha denies the accusations saying that the boycott aims to undermine its sovereignty.

According to the four Arab countries, there are 13 demands that Doha should meet, including closing Al Jazeera, severing ties with the Muslim Brotherhood and downgrading ties with Iran.

The dispute, which prompted the four countries to cut diplomatic, trade and travel ties with Qatar in mid-2017, witnessed a move with Riyadh's announcement earlier this month that a final solution may be reached soon.
