Egypt's youth team head coach Rabie Yassin announced on Monday his resignation as a head coach of the Pharaohs team after what happened with the team in Tunisia.

The Egyptian team failed to qualify for the U20 African Nations Cup after the CAF cancelled their first two matches against Libya and Tunisia after 17 players and head coach tested positive for coronavirus.

Yassin confirmed that he would reveal the facts, which happened during the recent period with evidence and documents that led to the youth team failure in reaching the African Nations Cup.

During his resignation, he thanked all people who supported the team in these difficult circumstances, stressing that he is proud of working with the Pharaohs and achieving the African Cup of Nations title in 2013.

It is worth mentioning that the team landed in Cairo on Saturday after withdrawing from the tournament.
