Quick Response Is Required

We dream of a North Coast that remains open year-round, so we and tourists can enjoy its beauty, its pristine beaches, and its resorts.

The recent discussions on social media regarding the North Coast and certain resorts imposing unfair conditions on both landlords and tenants require a response from official authorities. Is what's happening legal? Does it constitute an infringement on private property rights? Does it violate the constitution, or is it in accordance with it? It's unacceptable to allow these discussions to tarnish Egypt's tourism image and deter foreigners from visiting the North Coast. Silence, delaying responses, or adopting a "let them talk, we'll do what we want" approach harms Egypt and its economy.

The North coast has become a competitor to international beaches, so increased tourism movement in our country could harm the interests of other nations. Therefore, if this is a form of conspiracy against the Egyptian economy, a swift response is required: the owners of these resorts must deny the allegations. If there is an error, it must be rectified and the correction announced.

The most serious claim is that the police cannot enter. Is this true? Official statements must be issued.

Legally and constitutionally, there is no place or area within the Republic that is off-limits to the Egyptian police or security forces.

The application of legal and security sovereignty extends to all parts of the country without exception, and the rumors circulating about the existence of "restricted areas" are untrue and contrary to reality and the constitution.

Organization is needed everywhere. But what caught my attention was the volume of information circulated daily and the speed at which it spreads. I'm not talking about a specific village or project. I'm talking about a situation that everyone sees on social media and that millions of Egyptians read about every day. And the longer there's a delay in clarification, the more comments there are, new narratives emerge, and everyone starts sharing what they've heard or read.

An official response from the concerned authorities, whose word is trusted by the people, has become crucial. People have the right to know the truth from its source and to be assured that the law is being applied everywhere.

Egyptian tourism has achieved great successes, and the investments made on our coasts are a source of pride. It is in everyone's interest to maintain this image, and transparency is part of that.

Will a clarification or statement be issued to put an end to all these rumors?
