Egypt's new head coach Carlos Queiroz said on Wednesday that good start alone is not enough. These statements came after he led the Pharaohs to the top of Group F after winning their last two games against Libya.
"The team played with competence and character. It was nice to enjoy a good start, but a good start alone is not enough," Queiroz wrote on Twitter.
"This is all about finishing with success. There is a price to pay, which is full commitment and sacrifices for the team, until the end."

Depending on their FIFA ranking at the time of the draw, Egypt will either face a top-five ranked CAF team or a bottom one, with Senegal and Morocco already reaching the final round.
Queiroz’s men currently sit sixth in the CAF rankings and will hope for strong results in the AFCON and the Arab Cup to improve their rankings.
