On Tuesday night, it was rumored that Queen Elizabeth II had died due to COVID-19; however, the parliamentary official denied the fake news deeply, asserting that Her Majesty is recovering from the virus, international news platforms reported.
The story started when Hollywood Unlocked, which is a popular celebrity news platform on Instagram and YouTube, revealed that the Queen was found dead.
"Sources close to the Royal kingdom notified us exclusively that #QueenElizabeth has passed away," Hollywood Unlocked reported. "She was scheduled to attend the wedding of British Vogue editor Edward Enninful but was found dead. Story developing."
Shortly, the report was denied by Buckingham Palace; in addition, Dayo Okewale, the chief of staff in the House of Lords, said the report was "false."
Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II was forced to call off her Tuesday virtual meeting due to suffering from mild COVID-19 symptoms.
Her Majesty decided to undertake several light duties and office work at her Windsor Castle, where she has been staying since the beginning of the pandemic.
Early this morning, the Spokesperson of Buckingham Palace said: “As Her Majesty is still experiencing mild cold-like symptoms, she has decided not to undertake her planned virtual engagements today but will continue with light duties.”
In the same context, Her Majesty will commemorate the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service.
On Sunday, Queen Elizabeth II tested positive for Coronavirus, according to an official statement released by Buckingham Palace.
Her Majesty, 95, suffers from mild symptoms, and she intends to continue her light duties and office work at her Windsor Castle.
The statement added, “She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”
