Queen Elizabeth recalled her romance with her late husband, Prince Philip, for the first time since his death, media agencies reported on Sunday.
The 95-year-old monarch said: "I have spoken before of my deep and abiding affection for this wonderful country, and of the many happy memories Prince Philip and I always held of our time here."

The queen's speech came during the opening ceremony of the sixth session of the Scottish Parliament on Saturday. The event was attended by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla who are known in Scotland by Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.
