Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, welcomed a delegation from Hamas at his office in Lusail Palace today. The delegation, led by Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, arrived to discuss efforts toward establishing a long-term ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The meeting focused on the latest developments in the negotiations aimed at securing a lasting truce in the conflict-stricken region.
During the talks, Sheikh Tamim reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination. He reiterated Qatar’s stance supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
