Qatar’s Prime Minister (PM) and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, held a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and enhance cooperation.
They also addressed several regional and international issues.
According to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the call, which took place today (Saturday), included discussions on the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine crisis and Qatar’s efforts to reunite children with their families as part of its ongoing mediation to bring together families separated by the conflict.
Additionally, the two officials reviewed the situation in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
During the call, the Qatari Prime Minister reiterated Qatar’s stance in supporting all international efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means.
