Qatari PM Expresses Anticipation for Imminent US-Iran Deal, Praises Pakistani Mediation

​Qatari Prime Minister (PM) and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, affirmed his country's anticipation for the upcoming signing of the agreement between the American and Iranian sides.

​This came during a phone call today, Saturday, between Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the two leaders reviewed cooperative relations between their countries and ways to support and enhance them. 

They also discussed the latest regional developments, as well as Pakistan's mediation efforts aimed at de-escalation to help promote security and stability.

​Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani expressed Qatar's profound satisfaction with the progress achieved in the negotiations, and the Pakistani mediation's announcement that the final text of the peace agreement has been reached. He reiterated Qatar's full support for Pakistan's mediation efforts aimed at ending the crisis through peaceful means.

​Moreover, Qatari PM stressed the need for all parties to respond positively to these efforts, thereby contributing to creating the appropriate conditions to reach a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region.
