Qatari Foreign Minister (FM), Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi stressed the need to open sustainable humanitarian corridors to ensure the continued delivery of aid to the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern part, and to support regional and international efforts aimed at an immediate ceasefire.

This came during a meeting between Qatari FM, on Friday, with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Martin Griffiths.

They discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and the United Nations mechanism to accelerate the arrival of humanitarian relief shipments to the Palestinian people inside the Strip, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).

For his part, Griffiths expressed his thanks to Qatar for its continued support for the United Nations and its humanitarian and relief agencies, and for its efforts in the mediation process in Gaza.
