Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, arrived at Damascus International Airport, as part of a visit to Syria.
The visit comes one day after Ahmed Al-Sharaa was announced as interim president of Syria.
The spokesman for military operations in Syria announced that Ahmed Al-Sharaa was authorized to form a temporary legislative council for the transitional period.
Al-Sharaa will assume the duties of the President of the Republic in Syria, during the transitional phase.
