Qatar flagQatar has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu's provocative statements regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi Arabian territory.
It also deemed these remarks a blatant violation of international law and a flagrant breach of the United Nations Charter, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).
In a statement issued on Sunday, February 9, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Qatar’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and simultaneously called on the international community to firmly confront Israeli provocations.
The ministry reiterated Qatar’s unequivocal rejection of calls for the forced displacement of the Palestinian people, warning that such proposals would hinder peace efforts and fuel renewed conflicts in the region.
It also stressed that a just and sustainable peace can only be achieved by enabling Palestinians to exercise sovereignty over their land.
Furthermore, the ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast stance on the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
