Qatar's Ministry of Interior said three people, including a child, were injured after debris from aerial interception operations fell in the country as regional tensions intensified following a sharp escalation between the United States and Iran.
The ministry urged citizens and residents to comply with instructions issued by the relevant authorities as security threats remain elevated.
According to Al Qahera News, the latest escalation saw an exchange of attacks between the United States and Iran, accompanied by threats and strikes affecting several Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, as well as Jordan.
Iran said its operations targeted U.S. military facilities in the region in retaliation for recent American strikes.
The developments have heightened concerns over the potential spillover of the conflict across the Middle East, prompting Gulf states to intensify diplomatic efforts aimed at containing the crisis and preventing further escalation.
Officials across the GCC are continuing consultations with regional and international partners amid growing fears that sustained military confrontation could undermine regional security and stability.
The incident in Qatar marks one of the first reported civilian casualties linked to falling debris from interception operations since the latest round of hostilities began. Authorities have not released further details on the condition of the injured.
