On Sunday, Qatar News Agency reported that Qatar Airways, the largest airline in the Middle East, had suspended flights to Sudan.
According to the agency, this step came after the closure of Khartoum International Airport.
The situation in Sudan has escalated due to a dispute between the army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who also heads the Sovereignty Council (the country's governing body), and his deputy in the council, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), the head of the rapid support force.
Clashes broke out on the morning of April 15 between the two forces near a military base in the city of Merowe and the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.
According to recent reports, dozens have been killed and hundreds injured in the conflict.
