Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Wednesday that Russia has received a personal invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join the "Board of Peace" concerned with the Gaza Strip.
Commenting on Trump’s initiative to form the council, Putin stated that Russia has always supported efforts aimed at promoting international stability, according to the Russian news agency "Sputnik".
The President noted that Moscow will formally respond to the invitation after the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reviews the received documents and consults with strategic partners.
